For Davide Biondi, the answer isn’t found on fashion runways or in marketing manuals, but in a simple, revolutionary idea: everything you need should fit into a single bag. Jeans, sweatshirt, t-shirt, socks, and a bandana. And that bag should be able to hang from the seat of a motorcycle. This is how Hen’s Teeth was born – a brand that doesn’t chase trends but builds icons: authentic pieces, capable of telling a story and resisting the passage of time.

The Roots of a Personal Aesthetic
Davide grew up in Pescara, on the Adriatic coast of Abruzzo, surrounded by the sea and mountains that framed his everyday life. Since childhood, he’s been drawn to art and clothing: he painted, collected fabrics, and dismantled old garments to understand their secrets. But above all, he observed his father’s jeans—worn, faded, marked by work. They weren’t just clothes: they were lived-in testimonies, objects carrying the fatigue, sweat, and dignity of the man who wore them. That’s when his love for denim was born: a living fabric that changes with the person wearing it.

To Davide, the jeans he grew up around each told a unique story and history of the person who wore them.

At the same time, he attended the conservatory, studying violin and piano, as well as visual arts—first in an artisan workshop and then at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. His passions intertwined: music became the rhythm of his work, painting became a graphic signature, and motorcycles became a dream of freedom. An old red Moto Guzzi, found in a family garage, fueled his imagination. Those motionless wheels, that smell of gasoline and iron, became symbols of independence and adventure—values that still permeate Hen’s Teeth today.

Rejecting Growth at Any Cost
After a period in California—where he exhibited his paintings and absorbed the American culture of vintage and street style—Davide returned to Italy and worked for a major fashion company. But the industrial environment, with its obsession for “scalability” and mass production, felt constricting. So he decided to swim against the current: no endless collections, no seasons dictated by the market. Only a few pieces, handmade, born from the encounter between art, memory, and functionality.

“Hen’s Teeth” is a name that embodies this philosophy. It’s an American expression from the 19th century meaning something extremely rare, almost impossible to find—like a hen’s teeth. The same applies to the brand’s garments: unique, hard to come by, unrepeatable. Every stitch passes through Davide’s hands, every graphic is drawn by him, every package is folded, labeled, and shipped personally. In an era of automation and assembly lines, Hen’s Teeth stands as an act of cultural resistance.

A Collection That Grows Slowly
From the very first kit—raw jeans, sweatshirt, t-shirt, bandana, and socks in a single bag—the project expanded to include vests, work shirts, caps, and a women’s line developed with Marianna. Each season brings only a few novelties: a jacket, a new shirt, a rare fabric. No frenzy, just slow and mindful growth. “I prefer to add little by little,” Davide explains, “because each garment must have meaning, soul, and its own dignity.”

Hen’s Teeth as a Manifesto
Today, Hen’s Teeth is more than a brand: it is a manifesto of authenticity. It’s a rejection of conformity, proof that it’s possible to live without chasing the dogma of unlimited growth. It’s an invitation to slow down, to rediscover the value of rarity, of craftsmanship, of time spent with care.

“Hen’s Teeth is my world stitched together piece by piece,” says Davide. “Inside it there’s everything I love: art, graphics, motorcycles, fabrics. It’s not just a brand—it’s my life translated into clothing.”

In a global landscape dominated by fast fashion, Hen’s Teeth reminds us that elegance is not about quantity, but about quality. It is not about fashion, but about identity. And above all, that rarity—today more than ever—is the most authentic form of luxury.
