The Rhythm of Style: A Dialogue Between Time and Grace

Vitamia / The Rhythm of Style: A Dialogue Between Time and Grace

“Style is not about chasing youth; it is about living fully in the moment.” - Ria, Creative Director of COCOOVE & Verdant Line

I did not create COCOOVE & Verdant Line simply to design clothes. It began with a question that lingered for years: where are the pieces for women like us?

Every day I am grateful to work in an industry surrounded by beauty, creativity, and reinvention. Yet what inspires me most are the women beyond the runways: my friends, colleagues, and mentors whose presence embodies confidence, individuality, and a style that only deepens with time.

What never fails to amaze me about them is how their glow is never fading; they are perpetually radiant. Their grace, wit, and ability to express themselves through fashion grow stronger with every passing year.

That spirit is what I wanted to honour at CVL: clothes designed not just for an age, but for a way of living. A brand that celebrates style as it evolves with us, becoming richer, more assured, and more personal with every passing moment

A Shared Journey in Design

I have never designed for an ideal age. I design for the woman who wakes each morning curious about their day ahead – whether she is thirty-five or fifty-five. She may be balancing work and family, savoring a quieter rhythm of life, or embracing travel and discovery. What unites these woman is not a number but rather a mindset: a wish to be seen, to move freely, to express ourselves without compromise.

“We are not chasing trends. We are curating wardrobes that reflect our personality.”

Through our shared ideas, I see myself as her peer. I know the familiar moment of standing before a wardrobe full of clothes, searching for something that fits not only the body, but the life lived within it.

That is why, at CVL, fit and versatility are as important as design. Each piece is created to be lived in – from morning to night and from one season to the next –  and as garments that accompany ones lifestyle rather than dictate it.

The Women Who Prove Style Has No Age

Luxury has long sold the illusion of eternal youth. Yet the women redefining it today are those who embrace their age with poise and confidence. When I think of women who embody this ageless grace, names come easily: Michelle Yeoh, Cate Blanchett, Gong Li, Julianne Moore, Anna Wintour. And Yasmin Le Bon — luminous on today’s runways — reminds us that style at fifty is not about nostalgia, but relevance, assurance, and strength.

These women are more than icons; they are mirrors of possibility. They remind us that fashion should never aim to turn back time, but to illuminate who we are now — stronger, wiser, and entirely ourselves. Style does not fade; it evolves. It becomes more distinctive, more deliberate, more deeply personal.

Clothes to Live In, Not Just Wear

At CVL, clothing is never only fabric — it is life woven into form.
Our collections draw from art, travel, and nature: threads of culture and memory that become stories on the body.

A print may echo a painting that once moved me; a silhouette may follow the rhythm of a landscape sketched on a journey. These are not aesthetic gestures, but expressions of philosophy expressed through fashion as a vessel of experience and not a display of status.

It is also why my team at CVL believe in slow living and in taking time to savour the present, to notice beauty in small joys, and to invest in pieces that last. That is why our designs are versatile: a blouse that moves effortlessly from office to evening; a dress that can be reimagined, year after year.

This is not fast fashion. It is fashion that keeps pace with life itself.

Breaking the Boxes We Have Outgrown

Too often, women are confined by words like “age-appropriate” — labels that limit rather than celebrate. At CVL, we reject those boxes. Our purpose is not to conceal or conform, but to amplify what already exists: beauty, confidence, individuality.

While one woman may choose a vivid print; another may prefer soft neutrals. Both are powerful, both are expressive. True style has never been about conformity and is about choice, and the freedom to honour one’s own rhythm.

Why the Future of Luxury Belongs to Us

Women in our age group are leading companies, shaping culture, redefining visibility. They deserve to see themselves reflected in the brands they support. Because of that, the future of fashion belongs to women who refuse invisibility — who understand that luxury resides not in excess, but in authenticity; in garments that allow them to feel seen, valued, and beautifully themselves.

Style Is Ageless and So Are We

These words, and this brand, come from shared experience. As Creative Director of COCOOVE & Verdant Line, my goal is not to prescribe what women should wear, but to open a dialogue – to offer designs that become a canvas for individuality, pieces that walk beside us through every season of life.

I believe that fashion over fifty is not the end of style but rather it is its fullest expression.

At COCOOVE & Verdant Line, we design not just for how you look, but for how you live with grace, confidence, and authenticity. Because fashion should never erase who you are. It should celebrate you, beautifully, powerfully, and always on your own terms.

Wishing you the best day everyday,

Ria x
